Adezivi și dispozitive termofuzibile pentru aplicații speciale
Special applications often require complex coordination between the partners involved: In addition to the customer, mechanical engineers/OEMs are often involved. Both parties specify their requirements in specifications, which must be taken into account when selecting the application technique and the adhesives.
In order to meet the non-standard requirements, these often have to be simulated in the in-house laboratory. In order to achieve a good result in the interests of the customer, the entire expertise of application technology and adhesives is applied.
Automotive foundry
Iron foundries primarily use polyamides for the bonding of core packages in the foundry industry. BÜHNEN has polyamides in its range that are ideally suited for core packs that are to be coated (aqueous/ethanolic), and subsequently dried in a drying tunnel. Polyofins or EVA adhesives are used in aluminium foundries. The demands on the adhesives used in sand blasting or in the bonding of core packages are very high.
The hot-melt adhesives require a wide open time frame with a short setting speed. The short setting speed , combined with a high initial strength, enables rapid further handling of the cores produced using the cold-box or hot-box process. Depending on the degree of automation, glue guns or melting devices are used.
Assembly bonding
Assembly bonding is often a special application. The example shown is the fully automated gluing of the seal into a canister lid. The planned timing, the process and the substrates were determined in the on-site discussions. BÜHNEN’s in-house laboratory simulated the process and tested various adhesives. The specified materials placed high demands on the choice of adhesive.
In the interplay of consultation, hot-melt know-how and the used application technology, the requirements of the mechanical engineer, the customer and the process could be successfully implemented.
