Automatic adhesive filling by the granulate conveyor
Manual refilling of the hot-melt adhesive is no longer necessary when using the granulate conveyor. The fill level in the melter is continuously checked. Process reliability is increased with the use of the granulate conveyor, as unplanned production interruptions due to an empty tank are avoided. It is replaced with fresh adhesive as required. This reduces temperature fluctuation in the melt and prevents cracking in the device. With the automatic filling process, the risk to staff is significantly reduced. The maintenance costs caused by soiling of the system, triggered by overfilling of granules or granules falling beside the tank are reduced almost to zero.
An alarm system warns of malfunctions, for example before the tank has been completely emptied or if the tank is incorrectly filled. A built-in filter prevents the release of dust particles from the granulate. The granulate stock is stored in a container. The container is connected to the melter by means of a suction pipe. Free-flowing adhesive in the form of granules or pillows up to 10 mm in size is suitable for processing. Refilling the container is child’s play thanks to the large hinged lid. The vibration system of the suction plate prevents the stored adhesive from compacting.
